CA L’AMAGAT IN BAGÀ

It was a bit of a compromise at first why we chose to go to Bagà after Andorra. Frankly there weren’t too many interesting sites on the way between Barcelona and Amsterdam and the few day trip options to Andorra listed Bagà among only a handful of choices for a stopover. Though thankful for the cooler weather, and since we didn’t do much shopping, we finished quite quickly in Andorra and decided to have lunch at our next destination, a choice which proved to be a highlight. Bagà was like a ghost town when we got there, not a soul on the streets, and for a second I thought our restaurant destination would have been closed. Thankfully it wasn’t. From the squid starter to the pork main dish to the house flan desert, it was all amazing.

As for the town itself, there was barely anything of interest. The stone-built houses were an attraction but after a quick round around the small town, we decided there was enough time to see a third destination for the day, which turned out to be the best of the three by far.
