Our wandering feast Barcelona-version continued from our Asian dim sum spread to one that served fresh seafood close by. I’ve been having a great time eating some very good seafood since the beginning of our trip and I was hoping Barcelona would follow suit as well.
Luckily, I haven’t been disappointed yet.
La Paradeta in the Born neighborhood had a line out the door when we arrived and an even longer line when we left. The oysters, sprinkled with fresh lemon juice, tasted fresh, and the grilled scallops and large shrimp didn’t need the accompanying butter sauce at all, they were that good. There seems to be a pattern forming with service staff in Barcelona as once again it seemed as if we were doing them a favor by eating there. Two out of two in one night is a bit too much of a coincidence but let’s see how the rest of the week goes.
