We’re staying at the Omnia for our one night in Zermatt and it’s been absolutely faultless on everything so far. In sharp contrast with the five-star Royal Savoy in Lausanne, everyone here has been all smiles, they actually say hello to guests, our 5th floor room is beautifully decorated in a modern style that’s more my cup of tea, and has a priceless bird’s eye view of Zermatt town’s each and every appealing angle. Even more impressive is the welcome bubbly before check-in, served exclusively in the terrace overlooking the town as well as offering a view of the Matterhorn, and the food gift arranged for us in the room when we came in. It really does boil down to the many small things that makes it easy to fall for The Omnia. I’m feeling sad just thinking that we already have to leave tomorrow because there are likely some things we’ll miss, though I’m inspired to come back here for Christmas as it looks like the perfect place for it. Who knows.
