The earth is waking up from its winter break as it does every year, this time a bit earlier than the last. I’ve been eagerly anticipating this for weeks and any chance to go to our nearby garden center is an opportunity to say goodbye to another dreary winter and make our little corner as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Plants do come a long way in making that happen and the flowering variety even more so – I don’t think 79 cent primroses can last past this season or two – or even a week or two – but given the history of some previous attempts at other blooming varieties they may give us more than we could ask for. Green thumb don’t fail me now.
