I’d been thinking about this place for the longest time since I first went here back in March and now I’m happy – almost giddily happy – to be back. The fact that I was waiting outside with a handful of Japanese folk for them to open for the evening made the anticipation even deeper. I remember the quiet, cozy seat I had by the empty sushi bar and how beautiful the food was when they first placed it in front of me, and I’m sure it was partly from hunger but each slurp and bite back then was so gratifying it filled me in just the right places. It’s rare to find a restaurant where I wasn’t uncomfortable dining alone in, and the cool staff, coupled with the really good food made the entire experience hard to forget that i was more than glad to come back. So satisfying to be here.
