The seafood chowder in Ireland is fantastic. After feeling better and less lonely about the trip, I was able to get a grip on reality and a better perspective enough to see the forest for the trees. In other words I got over myself. After a quick trip to the Moher cliffs, we zoomed over to the tiny town of Doolin for lunch where all kinds of seafood were on the menu. Doolin’s town center is so small you could easily drive by it without noticing so I was quite surprised to find many others, even whole busloads, were there, I imagine for the food. The fact that access to the town was mainly through one lane roads makes it even more surprising. My hearty lunch of fried sea bass and chowder soup was both filling and satisfying, and I’m glad we were able to stop over.
