Our usual haunt in Lage Vuursche was sadly fully committed last night so we ended up opting for the next best thing. The hotel nearby had a French restaurant that luckily was available so we sat down to an over-the-top — by just a little bit –impromptu, starched-white-linen, waiters-in-suits dinner of seafood, risotto, truffles, and entrecote, splashed with some wine and then some. I seem to have gone slightly Dutch as I felt the dinner was already on the late side but all in all it proved to be a good experience. Now if only I dressed a little better.
