Medieval Hanseatic Zutphen could have been more memorable if only the weather cooperated, but as a quick lookie-loo for lunch it was as satisfying as it could get. Considering though it was a Sunday – which I heard was highly revered in these parts – as well as a holiday, chances that restaurants would be open weren’t too likely, and it seemed to be the case until we saw the highly ranked Sultani open for business. It was the only one ready to accept guests when we walked through the quiet, damp main square and after much hesitation from my nitpicky partner we sat down for some Moroccan fare. I was a bit startled when my order came – they do know how to make it dramatic.
