Graz Is Indeed Greener

Believe it or not, we dined al fresco right in the middle of December – oddly this winter weather is even better than last spring’s. For a good part of our walk around Austria’s second largest city, I was warm enough to have my thick coat off, with just a shirt and jacket keeping me comfortable. The sun was out on a cloudless sky and from our vantage point on top of Schlossberg, I could see the entire city below us alive and busy with just a couple of days to go before the big day. We ended up going to the top of the K&O department store right after to enjoy a quick lunch out on their terrace, and walked the main high street to get a feel for the city. It’s a nice little town that seems to have a lot going for it, and as I found out later not that far from the Slovenian border. Perhaps a return trip isn’t too far-fetched at all.
