My trip to fortified Naarden town was doubly meaningful because not only did I get to discover another small-town jewel, I got to hang out with an indescribably crazy ex-coworker who’s made a life for herself in that part of the world. The town was brimming over with atmosphere and history, and after walking all over town – twice over I think – and three, count ’em three!, food stops along the way, I was able to see pretty much everything it had to offer.
