After several invites that went by the wayside, my work colleague and I finally got together for some Sunday dimsum in The Hague’s Chinatown. Surprisingly my finicky partner agreed to come along and, even better, an old friend from my long ago life in Manila was able to join us as well. It was fun reminiscing and being on the same page with fellow Asian-Americans, something I haven’t experienced since my days in DC, and having some delicious, seemingly authentic Asian food that is somewhat of a rarity in these parts – even after having a late breakfast of pancakes at our local McDonalds, I was still able to wolf down my share from everything we ordered, they were that good. It was the perfect Sunday lunch with the perfect company on a perfect sunny Sunday.
