It’s not very often I wax romantic about a hotel but the Hotel Principal is something else. The moment we were greeted by the driveway staff and met at the sixth floor lobby, with all smiles in crisp suits and happy greetings, I knew it was going to be a special stay. When they said that we were upgraded, it made the first impression even better and once we reached our room, I loved it already. Classic furniture with modern elements, wood and modern design accents, it was the aesthetic I wouldn’t mind having at home for myself. Three nights is more than good enough to get to know Madrid but sad to say certainly less than desired for this beautiful property.
