As cathedrals go, this one ranks way up there. Surprisingly it was empty of the faithful, and this being Spain, it surely doesn’t bode well for the Vatican.
The cathedral in Toledo is as impressive as it gets. While in need of a little bit more TLC, the interior is jaw-dropping in scope and intricacy, the altar is monumental and the different nooks and crannies are an embarrassment of riches. A point and shoot camera is sorely lacking in that kind of milieu but it was all I could do to stop from trying to catch as many angles of the church as was possible.
