I was so dead wrong.

I have to admit my impressions of Lisbon prior to going were colored by pictures of graffiti everywhere, streets and buildings that have seen better days, and stories of an economy gone to the dogs. After five days of playing tourist, the city has been such a wonderful surprise and even a pleasure to get to know, that even though we pretty much exhausted our to-do list, I’d welcome the chance to come back here. If the worst thing that can happen on a trip is not being able to upload tourist photos because the hotel wifi is crap (thank you for that Marriott, very much appreciated), it means only that everything else was a success. Thank you for a lovely time, Lisbon. It’s been truly memorable.
