Oh what to do when there’s nothing to do.
My partner felt the urge to go have Saturday breakfast somewhere and for lack of any direction, we ended up in Amstel Park, just south of the city. He’d been to this park more times than he can count while I on the other hand had never set foot nor even heard anything special about it. To my surprise, not only did it turn out to be beautiful, better yet it was crowd-free and with a lot of interesting sites, walking paths, a train that went all around, and even some baby kangaroos and ostriches on display. Sure puts most public parks to shame.
