This was the scene on Christmas night, a little bit of magic, a little bit of Christmas spirit, and a whole lot of humanity. It was a cold night in Prague but it was bearable – thanks to my Arctic-level outerwear – and while the Christmas market could have been slightly better – it was pretty much a mini-version of the ones in Cologne – it was a pleasant sight nonetheless and enough to satisfy my holiday cravings. Including my partner’s inspired idea to get a bird’s eye view of the square from a nearby tower, it was a Christmas night as good as any. Even if there are a lot of other places in Europe I’d like to celebrate the season in, I wouldn’t mind going back here for another holiday round. It only means I’ll have to be more nice than naughty from now on.
