As the song goes, the leaves are indeed brown – but the sky was far from gray. What a welcome start to November.November 1, all of 22 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, turned out to be the warmest in history. And though I didn’t get to play with the other kids outside and spent all day leisurely working from home instead, I didn’t mind it at all. With nothing on the agenda on Sunday, it turned out to be almost as nice – a 10-minute walk and a morning pitstop at our neighborhood gym was a nice start to a beautiful, autumn day in the Low Countries. Mama said there’d be days like this.
