I’ve never seen anything like it – and nearly at a front-row seat.
This country is chockfull of drawbridges – that actually work! – and this one was particularly humongous. I lucked out and got to see it live in action, complete with passing 50000-ton cargo vessel and 85-piece orchestra (in my head, at least). It was like seeing Godzilla up close.
Still amazed at what people can build at times.
