We got the news last week, and which was reinforced yesterday morning by our visiting department head, that our two-month tenure has been extended till the end of the year. While it’s rather bittersweet – I actually wouldn’t mind going back to our main headquarters for the discounted breakfast, better coffee, ping pong table, etc, etc. – it also means I get to keep my million-dollar canal-side view, something my partner described as worthy of a high-powered lawyer or captain of industry. I’d have to agree with that assessment, the view, especially in the morning, really is to die for. At least I get to be a CEO (in my mind, at least) for 8 hours a day.
