WORK CHRONICLES | John Adams in Amsterdam

While walking around my work neighborhood along the Keizersgracht, what should I spy but this little sign just above my eyeline — the second president of the United States surely was quite the traveller. Looks like he lived here only for a year while serving as Ambassador, and though the facade doesn’t look too impressive, living in front of the widest canal in the city – and one of the most exclusive areas even then I’m sure – was a nice touch.
