My partner has discovered yet another patch of green in the big city — well, maybe just a wee bit out of the city. Thirty kilometers or so outside of Amsterdam, in the vicinity of Hilversum is this beautiful nature area bordered by the houses of some pretty wealthy Dutch folk. Though I may have been walking through public grounds, I couldn’t help but feel a bit like an interloper going through someone’s huge backyard. It was a nice two-hour walk, in any case – the fresh air and warm sunshine helped to start a, hopefully, fortuitous weekend.
