EASTER SUNDAY | Texel

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I, for one, didn’t expect that there’d be a lot to do in Texel. I’d heard about the beautiful nature and read up on little bits of local attractions, but was quite surprised to find that there was so much more. It helped, of course, that the day was as beautiful as it could get.

It was a nature-lover’s (and sheep-lover’s) dream. Beautiful forests, wide empty beaches, sprawling greens, and endless dunes to walk through. I’m still hoping that I’ll get to see the real Easter Island someday, but for this year Texel with its leaning white churches did just fine by me.
