On our way to our Easter Sunday destination, we decided to cross the seas by car – so to speak.
We were finally headed to a place that I kept harping about these last few months, and like our recent trip to the tulip lands, it all seemed to fall into place. From the mainland, we had to cross the Wadden Sea, and though it wasn’t more than a half-hour ride, it was enough to bring me back to those exciting times when I rode the holiday ferries in Greece and Scandinavia. For that short amount of time, I felt like a kid – something about the sea and the smell of adventure that comes from being a landlubber. The gliding seagulls were a nice touch, too. It was an exciting introduction and a great start to our Sunday adventure.
