It was a beautiful day last Sunday.
Unfortunately, despite some half-hearted intentions to join the rest of humanity outdoors, I didn’t do much of anything except finish the second half of the second season of House of Cards. Much like the first season, it was still riveting enough for me to finish all 13 episodes in two days but couldn’t help but find some of the twists and turns too contrived to take in. Really, are there that many bribable and easy to manipulate people in the White House? Can’t imagine how much more intrigue there’ll be in the third season since the main character’s reached the top of the mountain, unless of course the series turns scifi and the Startrek Federation becomes the storyline. Nothing beats being leader of the free world than being leader of an actual world.
