Coming home one day, I discovered signs of Spring had creeped into our little flat.
I’m not much a fan of surprises, especially since my partner’s taste and mine tend to sync like oil and water, but a splash of color is always a welcome sight during these dreary winter days. Being from the Philippines, where buying flowers is more a rich-people kind of a thing, I still have to get used to it being a way of life over here, and even if the daffodils, or narcissus as locals call them, only last a few days, thankfully, they were practically giving them away at the garden center. Sure makes the winters here just a wee bit more bearable.
Not practically; they were for free!
