We finally got to try the best herring in Amsterdam.
One of the people in our party – yes that’s you, Celine! – wanted to try some traditional Dutch herring much like what we did in that herring stall in Koningsplein during a cold day last April.
This time around, I wanted to bring them to what some say is the best herring in the city. Thankfully, it was easily reachable, close to the Bijenkorf which was our main target that day. I didn’t partake of what’s on display but I was glad to see the man behind the counter (the shop owner, I assumed) who seemed like a very nice, amiable man, smiling while he worked. Always good to see someone enjoying what they do.
I may just find myself back there when I play tour guide again.
