The Wild Boars is one of those restaurants that was in between barely reachable and just too far. I saw it mentioned a few times in write-ups about places to eat in Amsterdam, and while they were in town, I’d wanted to bring Anthony and the family over there to check it out. The holiday stars aligned and we finally made it for lunch one day and providently got that precious large table by the window. As Amsterdam lunches go, it was a bit on the indulgent side – but then that’s what people do on holidays, isn’t it.
We got the chef’s lunch menu which looked beautiful and didn’t disappoint. If only it weren’t so out of the way, I’d probably go back but with many other options to consider that are far more practical, it’ll have to wait a while. Hope it’s still around when I do.
