The Last Dutch Supper

The very last Ancheta family dinner in Amsterdam had to be quintessentially Dutch, and what could be kitschier and more appropriate than Dutch pancakes. We returned to this place that had the so-called ‘best pancakes in town’ for the final dinner of yet another successful European getaway. In an earlier visit, I asked a waitress whether the claim was true — she simply smiled and said that they’re always busy any time of the year, and fell short of actually confirming the truth to the title. It may be just marketing but judging from our empty plates, I’d say we were more than satisfied with what came out of the kitchen. I still have to make an effort to see what the other pancake purveyors are cooking up, though. For research purposes, of course.
