One of the more famous waterfalls in Iceland just happened to be part of the seemingly mandatory, day-long Golden Circle tour. Given the limited hours of sunlight, I didn’t have high hopes that the view would be that great but Mother Nature proved me wrong. The ride going there, through mostly darkness and though quite long, made for an interesting arctic wilderness view.
The sun barely came out and was close to setting when we had finished seeing the falls. I have to admit that there is a certain attraction to the entire landscape though I’m constantly reminded of Game of Thrones and any number of Mount Everest movies where people die from exposure. That bus better not leave us behind.
