TripAdvisor can be a tricky proposition it turns out. In trying to find a memorable place that was open on Christmas Day, TripAdvisor was my go-to source for restaurant options, and in a city with more than 11.000 choices, I definitely needed help, lest we ended up in another random Chinese place for lack of direction. The web site failed me this time as it took forever and a day to find a place, and to no avail. It wasn’t until my friend, Pet, suggested this other web site, which despite sounding a bit too self-promotional, actually did the trick as we were able to book a table for our empty, wandering stomachs. Strangely, the one we chose – or who chose us depending on the circumstances – wasn’t even close to being in the top of the TripAdvisor list even if it turned out to be quite the unforgettable French experience.
Simple, honest, and delicious – it was easily the best meal in our entire excursion in Paris. We left quite satisfied and couldn’t ask anything more for our Christmas Day lunch. If the glassware was any indication, a long walk to burn off all those carbs was in our future.
