It was rough sailing, or in this case cruising, but we finally made it to the EYE Museum for a quick look at this interesting building across the river from Central Station, and also to grab a much-needed lunch with a view. The sun was in and out that day but it felt great when it did make an appearance. This frigid weather is taking its toll on my friends, I think, as more than a couple of glasses of wine were needed to keep the cheeks warm.
The view would have been exponentially better if the weather were warm enough to eat outside but alas, it was not meant to be even in these last few days of March. Not being a sandwich person, I would have to admit the roast beef version looked good and tasted even better. Impressive was their dessert selection that seemed to have been curated from the best bakeries in the city. There are few better ways to end a leisurely lunch along the river.
