Café-Restaurant Stanislavski

Oh the weather outside was frightful, and even the pigeons thought so – this is how I normally behave as well when I go out…grumpy and all.

We went out to go grocery shopping and thought to stop for something warm and sweet. Walking around Leidseplein, we saw the Stadsschouwburg Theatre and found they had a little restaurant. It turned out to be quite a pretty pitstop.

It was nice and classy, and perfect for escaping the horrid weather. We decided to stay for some coffee (for me), cola (for him) and dessert. The service was expectedly indifferent and slow, more so in light of our recent Florida experience, but I was happy to be out and about so we just shrugged our shoulders and laughed about it.

And of course, what’s life without pie.
Dining out in this country simply isn’t as satisfying as it should be, so it’s only going to happen occasionally. Coffee and dessert is a lot more like it for now.
