Roka turned out to be a nice surprise.
Quite tricky to get to as Santorini seems to have inherited some of Mykonos’ affinity for road planning, we had to ask several people for directions. When we finally found it, what we saw was a somewhat home-y restaurant with the staff running around like headless chickens. For a weekday, the place was surprisingly buzzing, with few sitting options left. That tends to be a good sign.
Our hotel recommended Roka and I’m sure happy they did. The food came out really well – the octopus was so good, we ordered it twice! While the restaurant wasn’t much to look at, the food turned out to be solid…as a rock.
